DENTAL IMPLANTATION
PLANNING
The amount of stress that will be put on the implant and fixture during their normal function is also evaluated. Planning the position and number of implants is the key to the long-term health of the prosthetic, as the biomechanical forces created during chewing can be significant.
The position of implants is determined by the position and angle of the adjacent teeth, through lab simulations or using computed tomography with CAD/CAM simulations and surgical guides called stents.
LONG TERM RESULTS
Long-term studies show a 16 to 20-year success (implants surviving without complications or revisions) between 52% and 76%, with complications occurring up to 48% of the time [1] [2]. However, thanks to our doctors, the survival rate of implants in our clinic for the last 15 years has been over 90%!
Dr. Serpukhovitin's experience and qualifications guarantee the long-term survival of the implant, and high aesthetics of the gums.
It is also possible to perform the surgery under dental sedation.
TAKING CARE OF IMPLANTS
It is is very important to visit our dental practice for regular checkups every 6 months. At these visits, your implants, teeth, and gums are checked and professionally cleaned, including the areas you cannot reach at home.
Professional cleaning of implants is more complex than cleaning teeth, which means that it takes longer and requires special instruments.
TOOTH EXTRACTION WITH PIEZOSURGERY® TOUCH
The use of piezo technology for the extraction of impacted wisdom teeth is a reliable method which reduces the risk of the most common postoperative complications following mandibular wisdom teeth removal.
Piezosurgery is a relatively new technique of bone surgery that has recently gained popularity in implantology, periodontics and oral surgery. The unit provides extreme precision and safety as well as micrometric cutting, thus allowing one to selectively section the mineralized bone structures.
Moreover, the device causes less bleeding during and after the operation and the healing process is shorter.
